Aaron Williams

Aaron is the tobacco program coordinator for the CDC-funded grant, Good Health and Wellness in Indian Country. He collaborates with SPTHB partner tribes and organizations to increase awareness of the health risks involved with commercial tobacco use. In addition, he provides support in the implementation of tobacco control policies and strategies. He is new to the field of public health, joining the Southern Plains Tribal Health Board in February of 2017. Previously, he worked at his family’s sod farm in his hometown of Midwest City, Oklahoma. During his time at the farm, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Oklahoma. He hopes to further his academic and professional career in public health with his inquisitive nature and love for science. From his creative outlets, photography and comedy, he has gained an eclectic perspective on life. Aaron is an enrolled member of the Cheyenne & Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma. He writes with his left hand.
