Ms. Johnson (Absentee-Shawnee, Sac & Fox) is the Project Coordinator for the Native Connections suicide prevention grant within the Oklahoma Tribal Epidemiology Center at the Southern Plains Tribal Health Board. She received her B.A. from the University of Central Oklahoma where she majored in communications and journalism. Her background in strategic communications and her passion for prevention has given her a unique perspective on how to advocate for underserved communities. She is currently a member of the Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America and a youth council member for the National Council of Urban Indian Health.
