Using Innovative Technologies to Engage Your Community

How evolving technologies have created opportunities and barriers to effective and accurate public health outreach. What technologies exist now, and what are the pros and cons of each? There are numerous resources. However, each of these resources can create roadblocks to effective communication if used improperly.

Learning Objectives

  1. Social media
  2. Live stream/interactive video content
  3. Articles that empower people to action and build trust
  4. Engaging, community-reflective video content
  5. Realtime communication (texting/push notifications)

What the pandemic has taught us:

  1. Community-level communication infrastructure was lacking.
  2. Various engagement barriers hindered effective communication.
  3. A long-term community communication model is needed.

How the technology team at GoodHealthTV® found a solution to help its clients overcome these barriers and utilize all existing technologies to maximize outreach efficacy.

  • Review Native Reach® demonstration app and discuss how current clients are utilizing the custom outreach strategy to engage their community members.
