NPHR
- FOCUS AREAS Behavioral Health, Training & Education
NPHR Program Details
Native Public Health Resilience (NPHR) is focused on building tribal relationships and capacity while working closely with the tribes in the area. Topics for services provided by us are as diverse as those receiving the services. NPHR will focus to help tribes establish public health knowledge and programs to assess and monitor population health status, understand factors that influence health and community needs and assets. We will help train and develop systems to investigate, diagnose, and address health problems and hazards affecting tribal communities. OKTEC and SPTHB has designs to strengthen, support and mobilize communities and partnerships to improve health across Indian Country. We are excited to help tribes create, champion, and implement policies, plans, and laws that provide positive impact on health.
Projects & Initiatives
NPHR Training Framework
SPTHB has structured design and vision to provide educational training and framework to meet tribes where they are at, to help develop and build and support a diverse and skilled public health workforce.
NPHR Outreach, Support & Training
Through NPHR outreach, support, and training, we plan to facilitate assurance of an effective system that enables equitable access to individual services and care needed to be healthy.
NPHR Partnerships
NPHR would like to build formal and informal partnerships throughout the area to include Tribes and other local and state stakeholders and form an advisory group of core partners, Southern Plains Tribal Advisory Committee, which will host a large convening to determine area level priorities in public health.
Services Offered
Technical Assistance
SPTHB has a long history of providing training and technical assistance (TTA), guidance, and consulting services to public health professionals, nurses, doctors, community health representatives, community members, tribes, state and local agencies, non-profits, and many other organizations, as well as acting as the fiscal agent responsible for multiple funding opportunities.
Training
SPTHB will host training and education to help tribes and communities communicate effectively to inform and educate people about health, factors that influence it, and how to improve it.
